What I Wore This Week 1.23.22
Sunday
I usually start thinking about my Sunday outfit Saturday evening so I can have a quick and easy morning routine for before church and this week I knew I wanted to wear the Brooks Brothers blazer I thrifted because its wool and I can really only wear it this time of year! Here’s a similar blazer. Underneath I wore a new closet favorite I have yet to share on IG (blog exclusive!!) this striped sweater (fits true to size) from Alex Mill is glorious and the perfect winter version of my fav summer striped pieces. On the bottom I wore this pair of Levis straight leg jeans in the color ‘These Dreams’ (size up). My loafers are sold out from Antho’s Pilcro brand but I’ve linked a similar pair here.
Monday
Monday is all about simple comfort. I knew I wanted to wear leggings but still feel polished so I opted for a longer cable knit sweater, this one is sold out, linking similar ones here and here. I also chose a more monochromatic bottom layer complete with these Cole Haan chelsea boots. Similar ones linked here and here. My bag is the small crossbody tote from Madewell that I had personalized, I use this purse 6 months out of the year!
Tuesday
I shared this new addition to my closet on Tuesday, I couldn’t resist adding another gorgeous Daughters of India maxi to my closet after I fell hard for my first purchase from them! The dress fits true to size and DOI size chart is super helpful! Because it was a chilly day, I layered an olive green fisherman sweater over the top, this one is from amazon (true to size, size down for slimmer fit). My leather mules are old from Lucky Brand, but this pair from Madewell is very similar!
Wednesday
Wednesday I knew I wanted to wear this Evolverie green knit blazer, its currently still available in a few sizes linked here. I kept the base layer simple with this black Quince cashmere sweater (true to size) on top and these newer Levis straight leg jeans on the bottom (size up). My shoes are sold out, but they’re from the new Anthropologie brand Pilcro - I’ve been really impressed with the label so far! Necklace is from Able.
Thursday
I can’t get over how sleek this black base looks with Vetta’s convertible trench (size up), never underestimate a chic black look! Layered underneath is this Quince $50 cashmere sweater which fits true to size but don’t be afraid to size up if you want more room!
On the bottom are my curvy perfect vintage jeans from Madewell, (they come in plus, petite and tall too) I recommend sizing down twice, the cotton really loosens up with wear. On my feet are Cole Haan chelsea boots I’ve owned for around 5 years and they just get better with age! Linking similar ones here and here. (fits true)
Friday
Our friends had a birthday party on Friday and this is what I wore. An outfit uniform for me lately has been my favorite pair of Madewell perfect vintage jeans (size down) and a pair of sneakers with a simple top. I’ve owned these sneakers for years and they are so dang comfortable, (size up a half size). This J.Crew gauze shirt is actually still available in some gorgeous colors, and fits true to size.
Saturday
This was our first free Saturday in a while and we spent it resting and relaxing on the couch. I don’t always like to live in lounge or sleepwear because it makes me feel sluggish but this set looks and feels so pulled together that I will happily curl up in it all day!
This set is old from Lou & Grey, but I love this one from Quince and in my opinion, it’s just as soft (and more affordable)! Here’s the sweatshirt and the joggers. Mules are from Garnet Hill and linked here.
