24 Hours In NYC
I recently took my first EVER trip to the East Coast with some childhood friends to visit our girl friend in Pennsylvania who’s working on her Masters Degree. It was a whirlwind trip full of laughs, good drinks, greater food, and all the cliché tourist stops.
Philly
(left to right) we briefly toured part of Penn State campus, the Autumn trees were spectacular. Then we grabbed drinks at Attico and stopped in CB2 (a store I love shopping online) and my friends paused for a quick checkers game. And of course we had to take an obligatory outfit picture before heading to dinner at Giuseppe & Sons, which was the most vibey speakeasy-style restaurant in the basement, I loved it! No bad food this entire trip 🙌🏻
New York
(left to right) we spent about 48 hours in Philly and 24 in NYC, but we fit so much into our trip we never thought about how fast it was going. Saturday morning we grabbed coffee and bagels before hitting the highway into New York. After dropping our bags at our hotel, we walked to Times Square and took the subway to Central Park, and went ice skating at the Rockefeller Center. Dinner that night was at Gemma, which turned out to be amazing Italian food and ambiance.
The next day was dedicated to shopping and we stepped into some of my favorite stores - I got a sweatshirt and hat in Clare V and searched Sézane for my next purchase. (And of course I had to take a picture with the famous Bonjour New York tiles!) I also checked out some other stores I’ve been dying to step into and the quality of Buck Mason and BA&SH was definitely noteworthy.
We re-fueled in La Pecoria Bianca before grabbing our ride and heading out of the city. Our last night was spent at the W in down town Philly and we slowed down the full weekend with fireside margaritas and DoorDash deliveries, we party pretty hard 😉 Not a moment was spent without giggles and inside jokes, when you spend 26 years with the someone, you tend to have a lot of those. Theres no group of gals I’d rather travel with - be back soon New York! Xx
